This is an advanced level position that requires the knowledge, skills and experience required to be a Protective Relay Technician that can work on assigned projects without supervision.  Performs advanced level technical and electrical work through the application of a thorough knowledge of electrical theory, protective relay theory, and a comprehensive understanding of power system equipment and operations.
 
Relay Technician II

This is an expert level position that requires the mastery of the knowledge, skills and experience required to be a Protective Relay expert.  Performs all technical and electrical work through the application of a thorough knowledge of electrical theory, protective relay theory, and a comprehensive understanding of power system equipment and operations.
