Since 2015, FMEA’s Building Strong Communities Award recognizes Florida public power utilities for their community-focused programs. Previously named the Community Service Award, recipients are recognized for their efforts to offer programs and services that enhance the quality of life of their community.

Criteria and Selection Process: FMEA member utilities are required to submit an award application describing the programs and services being offered.
