FloodBreak, LLC
Organization Overview
FloodBreak was founded on the need to solve a problem. When Tropical Storm Allison hit Houston, TX in 2001, conventional flood control measures failed to protect the city. The flood damage from Allison proved that active flood control measures, no matter how well-built, cannot reliably protect against catastrophic flooding.
Flooding, particularly flash flooding, happens quickly & unexpectedly, giving little time for preparation and requires quick action to avoid catastrophic damage. In many cases, personnel cannot safely deploy the flood devices in time. Reliance on human intervention or power increases flood risk. FloodBreak Flood Barriers deploy without People or Power.
