Organization Overview
Residents, and utility field staff where a utility wants them included, submit geotagged and time-stamped photographs from a simple mobile app. Those photographs arrive on a web control panel where the utility's assessor (or other staff) classifies them, sets priority and can share or export data. Dispatch can still happen through the systems and process the utility uses today, eliminating the need for integration and onboarding. The assessor sees what failed, how severe it is and whether the site can be reached before a truck rolls, which shortens restoration, cuts confirmation drives, surfaces nested outages earlier and leaves a photo record that helps support FEMA cost recovery.
The underlying platform has been in production for over a decade in international disaster response, including work with United Nations agencies across earthquakes, wildfires and floods. Adapted specifically for electric utilities, LineAlert is now in the first year of full operation.
Deployment is deliberately light. A utility can run the control panel in a browser on equipment it already owns, or use a self-contained 5G iPad we supply that never touches its network. There is no integration project, no IT build and no change to the existing assessment process. LineAlert is a sole-source technology and cost is an annual operating expense scaled to the system, often eliminating the need for the standard procurement process.
