FMEA’s Rising Star award recognizes an up-and-coming leader who has five or less years of service to their public power utility, who has made significant and sustained contributions to their utility, and has demonstrated a dedication to the goals and principles of public power through problem solving, creativity, and job knowledge. 

Criteria and Selection Process: Nomination of candidates for the Rising Star Award may be made by any FMEA Regular Member. Nominations can be made at this link. The Rising Star Award is selected annually by the FMEA staff from the nominations received and based on their involvement in FMEA activities and is affirmed by the Board of Directors President. Any current employee or official of any Associate Member is eligible.
