Gov. Ron DeSantis on Wednesday returned Public Service Commission members Gary Clark and Gabriella Passidomo-Smith to their seats on the state utility regulatory board for four more years.

The two commissioners, whose current terms expire in January, were among six finalists interviewed and forwarded to DeSantis for the positions paying nearly $159,000 a year.

Clark and Passidomo-Smith were previously reappointed by DeSantis to four-year terms in 2022.

Clark, a past deputy secretary at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, has been on the commission since 2017.

Passidomo-Smith, a former PSC attorney and the daughter of Republican state Sen. Kathleen Passidomo, a former Senate President from Naples, was first appointed to the commission by DeSantis in May 2021.

Both appointments require confirmation by the Florida Senate.
