JEA to Help Customers in Need with $5,000 Contribution from Kubra

Community,

The JEA Neighbor to Neighbor Fund received a $5,000 contribution from longtime service provider KUBRA to help provide financial assistance to customers who are experiencing hardship. Leaders from KUBRA announced the contribution and spent time meeting with customers during Senior Day at JEA.

“Supporting our customers goes beyond providing reliable electric and water services. It means helping people find resources that can make a meaningful difference when they need it most. We are grateful to KUBRA for their generous contribution to the Neighbor to Neighbor Fund and for sharing our commitment to the people and communities we serve,” said Dr. Charles Moreland, JEA Chief Customer Experience Officer.

Customers can donate to the Neighbor to Neighbor Fund through their monthly utility bill, allowing them to help local families in need keep their lights on and their water running.

During Senior Day at JEA, KUBRA also provided boxed lunches and chair massages to visitors. KUBRA Vice President for Client Success Tara Mondelli said, “Being part of Senior Day at JEA is exactly what KUBRA Cares is about. It means giving back to the communities we serve in partnership with our clients. JEA has always shown a strong commitment to the people of Jacksonville, which aligns closely with our own mission. We are proud to support that commitment through the services we deliver every day, from print and mail and electronic billing and payments to our mobile app and outage map. We value this partnership and are honored to stand with JEA in service to their community.”

Senior Day at JEA is a free monthly resource fair that connects seniors with community partner agencies and services. Attendees can speak directly with local organizations to learn more about programs that help seniors age independently, reach their goals, and save money. Customers who need assistance with their utility bill must schedule an appointment through United Way 2-1-1.
