Hurricane & Storm Preparedness ForumHurricane Forum

Hurricane preparation is a year-round effort for FMEA member utilities and their communities across the state. The annual Hurricane & Storm Preparedness Forum is yet another way Florida’s public power utilities collaborate on critical hurricane preparedness and response topics, mutual aid, FEMA, and other disaster and emergency response issues, as well as share best practices and lessons learned from each other.

Florida public power utilities tailor storm-response plans in partnership with their communities to meet the unique needs of local residents, and they work together to build a coordinated response for wider emergencies.
