This position performs complex work in analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing network infrastructure and application components; does related work as required. Work is performed independently under the general supervision of the Information Services Supervisor.

The work is medium work requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force or more occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:

  • Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
  • Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
  • Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Repetitive Motion: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. Occurs to a considerable degree and requires full motion of the lower extremities and back muscles.
  • Manual Dexterity: Picking, pinching, or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
  • Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
  • Vocal Communication: Required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
  • Hearing: Required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels, and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound.
  • Visual Acuity: Required for depth perception, color perception, preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, operation of machines, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities.
