LE LogoGENERAL DESCRIPTION OF CLASS:

This is a responsible, highly skilled analyst role focused on assimilating, compiling, and analyzing power plant technical data. The position requires performing mathematical tasks and using various software tools to prepare budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking of O&M and capital projects. Reporting to the Power Production Projects Coordinator, this role supports the three plant sites: McIntosh, Larsen, and Winston. The position assists Workforce management staff, planners, maintenance coordinators, and engineers with project tracking and reporting. Quality of work is evaluated through meetings, reports, and desired outcomes, with considerable independent judgment expected to develop data analysis reports for outages and daily cost tracking with general instructions given by a staff working at an electric production plant.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Statistics, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Four years of progressively responsible experience forecasting and tracking costs for an electric power plant.

An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, abilities, and other competencies necessary for success in the target position may be considered.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Forecasts and analyzes key financial data for outage projects and daily maintenance for the workforce management division of Production.
  • Prepares and manages daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and ad-hoc reports, projections, and analyses accurately and efficiently.
  • Performs advanced research and compiles data for reports using computerized information systems.
  • Oversees invoice payments for Workforce Management and ensures compliance with contracts.
  • Serves as backup administrator for the Production Department website, ensuring accurate posting and maintaining reports for compliance posting.
  • Monitor the Workforce Management budget and track expenses related to outage projects, O&M, and capital, providing regular reports to management.
  • Assists with report writing or data analysis for the Workforce Management team.
  • Skilled in Maximo software to maintain the Asset management for three plant sites.
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes rules on p-card and purchase order management.
  • Assist planners, engineers, and maintenance coordinators with vendor contact and the bid process for obtaining quotes.
  • May be required to participate and/or facilitate training to support departmental or City initiatives and requirements.
  • May be required to work alternate hours as necessary for the efficient operation of the department.
