Fire Protection Technician II - OUC

We are looking for a highly skilled and safety-conscious professional with a solid foundation in fire protection systems, particularly within power plant environments. Technical expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps and low-voltage equipment is required.
In this role, you will be responsible for testing, inspecting, and maintaining fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression systems across OUC- operated power plants. The role requires meticulous documentation of inspections in compliance with industry standards, responding to both scheduled maintenance and emergency calls, and working at elevated heights when necessary.

The ideal candidate will have:
Education/ Certification/ Years of Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in installation and repair of fire sprinkler, fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems, and fire safety inspections, OR seven (7) years of industrial electrical/mechanical experience;
- Experience with special hazards systems (CO2 and Halon);
- Certifications and specialized trainings (preferred):
- Fire Safety Inspector 2 (preferred). Obtain Fire Safety Inspector Level 1 within 2 years;
- Completion of required General Physics (GPI) learnings and JPMs through Technician III progression level (or equivalent training if external);
- Valid Driver’s License.

Salary Range: Starting at $37.776 per hour (Estimated $78,574.08 annually) with a structured step progression system and performance-based pay increases every 6 months up to $43.663 per hour (Estimated $90,819.04 annually).
